Perry's stylist urges women to experiment From boisterous outfits to her multi-hued hair, Katy Perry seems to have her personal style on lock. While the pop star may know how to work the stage, when it comes to her fashion choices, it's her team behind the scenes that is working overtime. Perry has managed to rock the world on stage and on screen (thanks to her 3D tour documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me), but it's right-hand style man Johnny Wujek, who deserves the accolades for her over-the-top ensembles. Wujek, who will appear on the next season of America's Next Top Model, has his hands on everything to do with Perry's look: from creating many of her show stopping red-carpet looks to designing the costumes for her California Dreams tour. We caught up with Perry's stylist to get the inside scoop on this stage-diva's wardrobe. Be different. I always flip through those magazines and it's always the same stuff and everyone is wearing the same thing. Don't be afraid to just be an individual. It's fashion, you're allowed to experiment. It's all about experimenting. Q: Where is Perry's style headed now? A: Recently, we've been doing Lichtenstein popart so, it's very colourful, very retro. That look is always so fun and great on her. We've done a few things that are very witchy-'90s. It's fun because people don't know what she's going to do. What are some of the top designers/styles that Katy loves to wear? Katy loves Versace, YSL and Chanel (what girl doesn't love Chanel?). She rarely wears jeans. She mainly wears dresses and lately it's been a lot of black and dark. She's kind of moved onto the '90s a little bit with the black lace and dark purple hair. It's just a fun little phase.
